San Leandro…Did You Know?

Sometimes there doesn’t seem to be much to San Leandro, but I can tell you as an active member of our community that there is always something new and exciting to check out. Here is some interesting information about San Leandro you may not know about.
Lit San Leandro
Lit San Leandro is a public-private partnership designed to attract new business to San Leandro by deploying the latest fiber optic infrastructure.

Marina
The San Leandro Marina is part of the San Leandro Shoreline Recreation Area. A full service marina with 455 berths, a boat launch ramp and two yacht clubs; restaurants, waterfront hotel, two golf courses, golf driving range, par course, park and picnic areas; shoreline trail. A great afternoon or weekend outing!
Monarch Bay Golf Course
Monarch Bay Golf Club features two spectacular courses—the 18-hole Tony Lema Golf Course and the Marina 9-hole course. Both courses have undergone a 9 million dollar renovation. www.americangolf.com/monarch-bay-golf-club
Lake Chabot Regional Park

SLED
San Leandro Education Foundation is a volunteer organization that hosts fundraising events to help support the San Leandro Unified School District’s public schools. It focuses primarily on health and safety, technology, enrichment, volunteerism and the arts. EAT OUT FOR EDUCATION at participating restaurants first Wednesday of the month.www.sledfund.org
